Ingredient: Kojic Acid


Kojic Acid - A chelating and lightening agent named after the Japanese word for the primary fungus from which it is derived - koji.

Discovered in 1989, clinical studies have shown that Kojic Acid is a very effective skin lightening agent that works by inhibiting the production of melanin in the deep cells of the skin.

In a study comparing Kojic Acid and Hydroquinone, no statistically significant difference in efficacy was found.
